Ink Swiping Technique – Whitewash Effect

If you want a technique that makes you feel (and look!) like you’ve had a good crafting session, this ink swping technique is a great one. Perfect for all levels of crafters this is a really fun way to play with colours and it actually combines a few techniques.

  • Watercolouring
  • Dry Embossing
  • Ink Swiping
TSL Ink Swiping, Whitewash Technique,

What I love with this technique is that no two projects will look alike – there are so many variables. It’s so much fun playing with inks and you do get inky fingers so be prepared for a messy crafting session!

Tips & Tricks

  • Select colours that blend well together
  • Let each colour dry before adding the next colour
  • A 3D Embossing Folder with a focal image works best for this technique
  • Let the watercolouring dry before ink swiping (you don’t want a colourful Craft ink pad!

I hope you enjoy giving this a try.
