Splattering & Spritzing Technique
Splattering is a fun and easy way to add texture, interest, and energy to your cardmaking projects. Here are a few techniques for splattering.
Paintbrush or Water Brush Splattering
- Dip a brush in slightly watered-down ink. Hold the brush over your paper, flick the bristles with your finger or tap the brush against another object. Depending on the amount of paint on the brush and the flicking force, this creates fine or larger splatter patterns.
Stampin’ Marker Splattering
- Hold the Stampin’ marker over the cardstock, and flick it through the cap of the markers across the bristles to release a mist of fine splatter. This technique is great for creating a soft, even effect.
Spritzer Splattering
- Fill the Stampin’ Spritzer with water and 8 to 9 drops of the ink depending upon the water capacity. This gives a beautiful soft mist-like look to your background.
